Thanks for the reminder of this oddity. The idea of the founder of The Damned covering Rodgers and Hammerstein is too deliciously weird. I also like the videos of him on Top of the Pops performing the same tune with an odd trio of teen or pre-teen girls.
Yeah, it’s odd in a way that’s somehow more endearing than, say, Sid Vicious singing “My Way.”
